Join us in revisiting a classic but often under-utilized Sensorial material - the Geometric Cabinet. In addition to re-engaging with Montessori's original intent for the work, we'll share new activities to intrigue and engage children through the entire early childhood period. Learn how these simple, beautiful shapes can be utilized in every class area from Practical Life to Science, deepening the children's understanding of symmetry, beauty, and form, and connecting them more profoundly both to math, and the wonders of their natural world.

* Refresh basics of the Geometric cabinet shapes and cards; how to present; aims of  material
* Learn variations in using the Geometric Cabinet and cards.
* See a beautiful and efficient way to store the Geometric Cabinet cards which encourages independent exploration of the material.
* Review Montessori's use of Geometric Cabinet as a tool for preparing the hand to write
* Learn extensions of the Geometric Cabinet shapes in all areas; practical life, math, language, and science.
* Participants should leave with a renewed sense of interest in this beautiful material along with a rich array of activities developed over years of observation and practice.
